Kas Plataeu
25 Km away from Satara District H.Q. & 20 Km away from Northern part of Koyana Sanctuary. Locally called as ‘Kas Pathar’ or ‘Plateau of Flowers’.The major portion of the plateau is Reserve Forest. Kas plateau is listed under the Protection Working Circle. Kas lake (built 100 years ago) is a perennial source of Water supply for western part of Satara city by gravity.It is a glory of satara forest division.
Elements of outstanding Universal Value Plateau is rich in its Bio-diversity. Very IMP for botanical studies and research work.
Kas Lake
When we visited Kaas Pathar we also visited this lake which is about 5 km further down. The lake is serene and beautiful. However, there are no shades or resting places or toilets besides it. On the road leading towards the lake there are plenty of eateries. Many locals camp here with their food and drinks. The place was strewn with the waste of such camping.Kas lake lives upto its reputation. It’s a must visit.
The great part is that it has a good mix of rocky and walkable shore. U can sit and chill and maybe have a picnic with food and stuff.
Vajarai Waterfall
The Bhambavli Vajrai Waterfall Is A Waterfall On The Urmodi River, Situated Approximately 27 Kilometers From The City Of Satara (City), Maharashtra, And Near Sahyadri Hill.[1] The Height Of The Waterfall Is 560m, And Is The Second Highest Plunge Waterfall In India, After The Nohkalikai Falls In Meghalaya, With A Drop Of 335 M (1100 Ft). When All Three Tiers Of The Waterfall Are Measured Together, It Has A Height Of 560 Meters.
Kumudini Lake
The lake is full of kumudini flowers.
Nature lovers would enjoy the beauty.
A must must place to visit now.

Vasota Trek
“When summer starts in India, it almost kills the desire of travelling”, my friend said. Is that so?
